City of Bones by: Cassandra Clare

I am shocked, and surprised by the whole novel. It was adventurous, dangerous and romantic, and every twist and turn kept me on my toes. I wanted to know more so I even went to a local book store and bought the whole TMI series.

Alec Lightwood was a plain bully throughout the book. I felt that maybe Alec was a little insecure because Clary was coming to live with them at the Institute, and maybe a little jealous.

Isabelle Lightwood was a character I was confused about, she would be snapping at Clary one minute and hugging her the next.

Jace Wayland was a character that I absolutly loved. He radiated danger, but was always there to support you when you fell and to protect you from others that mean to cause you harm.

Clary Fray is like any average teenager, you feel like your different for anyone else, but in this case it's true. She raely fights any demons when Jace, Isabelle, or Alec is nearby. She also loves her mother and will do anything to save her.

In the end this novel was amazing, and for sure is in my must read list.
I officially give this novel a 5 out of 5.

Here is the blurb:
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .
