Someone Else's Life by: Katie Dale

This novel was absolutely amazing! I loved the way Katie Dale portrayed the anguish that Rosie Kenning has when she finds out that she was switched at birth and that the mother that raised her and cared for her is not really her mother after all. As she chooses to go on a world adventure with her ex-boyfriend, Andy, to find her birth parents and to face the fact that her whole life has been one huge lie.

Katie Dale also protrays what a family goes through when a loved one dies, and the facing life no matter what decision you make. This is one of my must reads!

I give this book a 5 out of 5!!! One of the best books I have read so far! Be sure to go out and buy it today!

Here is the blurb:
When seventeen-year-old Rosie’s mother, Trudie, dies from Huntington’s Disease, her pain is intensified by the knowledge that she has a fifty-per-cent chance of inheriting the crippling disease herself. Only when she tells her mum’s best friend, ‘Aunt Sarah’ that she is going to test for the disease does Sarah, a midwife, reveal that Trudie was not her biological mother after all...

Devastated, Rosie decides to trace her real mother, hitching along on her ex-boyfriend’s GAP year to follow her to Los Angeles. But all does not go to plan, and as Rosie discovers yet more of her family's deeply-buried secrets and lies, she is left with an agonising decision of her own - one which will be the most heart-breaking and far-reaching of all...

Nevermore by: Kelly Creagh

This book was spooky and exhilarating, it brought both excitement and craziness into the world I call Nevermore.
Isobel Lanely  is a typical cheerleader but then comes along Varen Nethers, major goth hottie!!!!, who have been paired together to do a English project. Though in the beginning both Isobel and Varen would rather do anything other than a project together, their feelings start to change. As they grow closer, Isobel notices strange things are starting to happen and Vance seems to be hiding something.

I am at awe at this book. I loved the passion, curiosity, excitement  and the horror that this novel seems to radiate. I have to say this book is a must read. Seriously go and buy this book!

I give this book a 5 out of 5.

Here is the book's blurb:
Cheerleader Isobel Lanley is horrified when she is paired with Varen Nethers for an English project, which is due—so unfair—on the day of the rival game. Cold and aloof, sardonic and sharp-tongued, Varen makes it clear he’d rather not have anything to do with her either. But when Isobel discovers strange writing in his journal, she can’t help but give this enigmatic boy with the piercing eyes another look.

Soon, Isobel finds herself making excuses to be with Varen. Steadily pulled away from her friends and her possessive boyfriend, Isobel ventures deeper and deeper into the dream world Varen has created through the pages of his notebook, a realm where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life.

As her world begins to unravel around her, Isobel discovers that dreams, like words, hold more power than she ever imagined, and that the most frightening realities are those of the mind. Now she must find a way to reach Varen before he is consumed by the shadows of his own nightmares.
