Endless Knight by: Kresley Cole

Endless Knight is the second novel in The Arcana Chronicles trilogy. It continues off where Posion Princess (Book #1) left off. Evangeline, also known as Evie, has been reunited with her partner in crime, and maybe more, Jack Devaoux. The first novel was the introduction to the second novel, the adventure & action we have all been waiting for.

As Evie and her newfound gang of Arcana players (i.e. Selena - The Huntress, Matthew - The Fool, and more) hunt for Death, they face obstacles they never thought they would have to face. As the hunter turns into the hunted, Evie must decide what is more important her freedom or the freedom of all whom she loves.

This novel is both a gripping and power read. As I read the novel, I began to truly feel for Evie, we don't only see this big powerful Empress that is capable of mass destruction but we also see how vulnerable she can be and how much she wishes to be a normal teenaged girl.

As the novel progresses the chemistry between Evie and Jack is undeniable strong, however when a situation arrises leading Evie to follow Death, we are shown how her ties to the game will not only never let her go but how she will never be able to be the normal girl she always wished to be. As Evie and Jack continue to push through the obstacles lade before them to save the other, secrets are told that begin to threaten every relationship she has. Who can she trust when everyone is out for her blood?

I can not believe I am going to say this but Endless Knight has to be one of the best books so far in Kresley Cole's The Arcana Chronicles trilogy (counting the fact that I have not read book three - Dead of Winter - yet).

The way that Kresley Cole writes not only brings the characters to life and make them feel like they are in your living room with you, she also knows how to write the emotions each character feels so we may experience a fraction of what they do.

How have I not read this book until now?!

Don't make the same mistake I made, buy it and read it today.

Before I leave you with my rating for the overall novel, which team are you on?
Team Jack or Team Death?

Shocking secrets
Evie has fully come into her powers as the Tarot Empress, and Jack was there to see it all. She now knows that the teens who've been reincarnated as the Tarot are in the throes of an epic battle. It's kill or be killed, and the future of mankind hangs in the balance.

Unexpected allies
With threats lurking around every corner, Evie is forced to trust her newfound alliance. Together they must fight not only other Arcana, but also Bagmen zombies, post-apocalyptic storms, and cannibals.

Gut-wrenching treachery
When Evie meets Death, things get even more complicated. Though falling for Jack, she's drawn to the dangerous Endless Knight as well. Somehow the Empress and Death share a history, one that Evie can't remember--but Death can't forget...
