Dare To Run is about a man named Lucas Donahue, a member of The Sons of Steel Row - a Boston Gang - that makes their money from illegal arms dealing. After his recent stint in prison, Lucas yearns for a regular life, however he knows that no one leaves the gang without permission. When he notices a rival gang attacking the feisty little bartender from the bar next door, he knows he can not sit by.
I adored Lucas Donahue and the plot was well thought but the Heidi Greene, the feisty bartender, seemed to be unaware of what was going on. When I say this, I mean that she knew that the rival gang was going after her, threatening her life, and that Lucas is a part of the Sons. Yet, when her life was in danger she would feel this need to be independent and fight her own battles. At times it felt like Heidi did not care about her safety due to the decisions she would make and what she would say.
I adored Lucas and the mystery that seems to surround him and his life (i.e. his brother). The plot was also rather intriguing and did draw me into the novel enough for me to finish it. I would gladly recommend this novel to everyone.
